Professor of Spiritual Formation
For 36 years, Mark Becton served as lead pastor of churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia. He’s served churches in rural towns, communities in transition, and most recently a large church in a large city. His last church assisted in planting 12 churches, from which 11 more were planted. He’s encouraged pastors and mentored church planters over 12 years. He’s authored and contributed to several books, including Nelson’s Preacher’s Sourcebook 2010 Edition, Nelson’s Church Leader’s Manual for Congregational Care, A Confident Peace: Letting Revelation Change the Way You Live, and Prayer Works When You Work at Prayer: Following Jesus’ Example in Prayer. Mark and his wife Loree have two sons and are now grandparents who have served the Father together for over 36 years.
