Dr. Tony Merida

Dean of Seminary, Professor of Preaching and Theology, Dean of the Center for Christ-Centered Preaching

Tony Merida brings a wealth of experience as a pastor (Temple Baptist, Hattiesburg, MS) church planter (Imago Dei, Raleigh, NC), and professor (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, LA; Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC; University of Mobile, Mobile, AL). He is the author of numerous books, including The Christ-Centered Expositor, Ordinary, Love Your Church, and Orphanology as well as eight volumes in the Christ-Centered Exposition commentary series, which he co-edits. Also, he is a Council Member of The Gospel Coalition. Tony and his wife, Kimberly, have five adopted children.
