Pastors Training Pastors and Planters for the Urban Context

Introduction From Dr. Doug Logan, Jr.

Curriculum

Grimké Urban consists of programs that comprehensively form pastors who understand the urban context through the lens of the gospel and are equipped for effective cultural engagement and mission.

Urban Missiology

All pastors are missionaries. Pastors called to the urban context must understand urban missiology.

Urban Anthropology

Study how to minister to people uniquely shaped and influenced by cities.

Urban Preaching

All preaching is contextual. Learn to preach to an urban context.

Urban Apologetics

Learn to answer the questions and core concerns of people in urban contexts.

The church’s missional engagement must be infused with true compassion—a compassion that seeks to provide comprehensive wholeness instead of a narrow conception of what we think a person needs.”

— Dr. Doug Logan, Jr.
